Job Description

What we’re looking for:

 

We are looking for an IT Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the Dover Food Retail IT Infrastructure including end user devices, network and servers.

 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

 

Manage key processes related to end user devices including new user deployment, management of spare device inventory, and scheduled pc ‘refresh’ to ensure life cycle optimization.
Oversee onsite and offshore contractors who provide direct end user support; serve as primary escalation point for the business team for all infrastructure issues.
Manage the server landscape for Dover Food Retail.  Work with Dover Corporate IT to manage ongoing server migration to Cloud providers and track status of all remaining onsite servers, coordinate patching windows with application teams and/or business users.
Lead infrastructure projects for Dover Food Retail, working with Dover Corporate IT and contractors as needed.
Work with Dover CyberSecurity to ensure robust tools and processes are in place to protect Dover Food Retail electronic assets.

Proactively identify improvement opportunities for Dover Food Retails existing infrastructure and implement or work with Dover Corporate IT to integrate these into longer term roadmaps.
Influence and communicate to parties within and outside of own job area at a leadership and operational level regarding approaches, policies, practices and procedures.

 

What are the basic qualifications?

 

Bachelor’s degree in technical field or a minimum of 7 years of progressive, relevant experience in IT.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading a diverse team of IT professionals with a range of skills and capabilities in delivering an outstanding customer experience for users.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in effectively leveraging offshore support.
Project leadership / management.  Multiple (minimum of three) internal or contract assignments in IT infrastructure with significant oversight role (e.g. budget and/or timeline responsibility)

 

What are the preferred qualifications?

 

Experience in infrastructure setup in a manufacturing environment (product scanning tools and technology, network integration of manufacturing equipment, etc.

 

To be a great fit for the role:

 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with users throughout the organization, from the shop floor to the executive team.
Windows Active Directory experience, including GPO’s, scripting, batch files
Understanding of DHCP, DNS (internal and external) in a Windows Server environment.
VMware experience, Storage technology such as NetApp, NAS, Backup technologies experience such as CommVault.
Understanding of networking principles, including internet technologies, Some Cisco skills would be beneficial.
Security services knowledge – SIEM, scanning with standard tools, basic port knowledge
Contract and Vendor Management
Service Desk understanding, management of tickets.
Additional support and understanding of technologies such as FTP, Security Certificates, cloud computing.
