Job Summary
Performs limited aspects of technical HM management work (e.g.inventory management, storage management) related HM management activities.
The work generallyinvolves individual case problems or supply actions. This work requires consideration of CMSprogram requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
Assignments require:
a good working knowledge the supply systems and policies, work methods,or other established guidelines
an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced
analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect thenecessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application orinterpretation of established guidelines.
Uses a Government HM Inventory and EnvironmentalManagement Application such as the Hazardous Materials Management System (HMMS), EnterpriseEnvironmental Safety and Occupational Health Management Information System (EESOH-MIS), orHazardous Materials Information Management System (HMIDS) and other Government DataSystems.
Minimum Requirements
High school degree or equivalent is desirable.
Three (3) years of material/supply functions, either in the military services on in commercial applications.
Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.
Analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data, establish facts, and to take recommended action based upon applicable established guidelines.
Possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driving permit.
