LACs Visa Business Solutions is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead the LAC product and platforms ecosystem solutions team based in Miami and in the markets in LAC.

The Sr. Director, Product and Platform solutions Lead for LAC is responsible for managing and delivering compelling solutions to solve the transaction management, purchasing, expense and accounts payable needs of all our LAC visa partners and their clients. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, vision, curiosity, critical thinking, visa solutions knowledge, financial analytical skills, creative problem solving and thought leadership.

The Sr. Director, Product and Platform solutions Head for LAC will be a member of the global Visa business solution Architecture and product team and will report to the VP of Visa Business Solutions in LAC.

The LAC VBS Product & Platform Team has responsibility for the LAC Market P&L and product vision for Visa business solutions including new products platforms launch and development, creation of issuer segment strategies, research and thought leadership, and product engagement with our issuing financial institutions, fintechs and partners. The team serves financial institutions and fintechs and their downstream clients by providing payment products and services to small business, large and middle market corporate multinational companies, governments, and commercial supply chain B2B segments. The LAC VBS Product & Platform Team works collaboratively with the LAC VBS Sales Team as well as other regions, ensuring alignment of market positioning across all areas of Visa Business Solutions.

This role will be responsible for planning, developing, and deploying new products features and enhancing existing capabilities in accordance with the broader product strategy and roadmap.  The incumbent will lead product initiatives within the VBS team, including product management of the Product Ecosystem, data solutions, APIs Solutions, payables solutions and services with a particular emphasis on supporting growth of new payment flows and value-added services. The Sr. Director will work closely with the global products Lead, cross-functional stakeholders and Product counterparts focused on collaboration and as running point of LAC’s Product & Platform team.

This senior-level role will lead the VBS Product & Platform Team engagement with Visa’s most strategic B2B payment provider relationships, in close coordination with the Visa’s Partnership, Platform and VBS Specialized Sales team members.  In addition, the role involves working with the extended VBS Product Team to identify gaps as well as new requirements for Innovative B2B payment solutions that meet issuer and end client needs. 

The role will require the talent to lead by example, enable and inspire and collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment while delivering on a strong, aligned approach with global and local teams. In addition, the role will require product strategy and product management experience, a solid understanding of product development, B2B payments landscape, Issuing, Acceptance, new vertical and data management, products and platforms that exist within visa and visa business solutions. Knowledge of Visa core products and compliance, virtual account, payables, and expense management solutions is a plus.

Essential Functions

Execute and evolve Visa strategy to support simple, transparent, scalable payments solutions and transaction management products.
Collaborate with peers and senior leaders to align product strategies and ensure proper coordination and messaging where appropriate. Provide executive briefings and ensure awareness of product rollout and migration efforts
Manage enhancements to the product architecture to allow originators to deliver VBS solutions into the region, as well as to reduce barriers for new use cases generally tied to acceptance, data, regulatory compliance, risk or other ecosystem factors.
Lead efforts targeted at driving progress of VBS Value-added services into the region.
Work with Technology to ensure new use cases and capabilities deliver expected user experience and are on time and within budget. 
Execute Visa Business solution roadmap against overall commercial targets for all solution types and use cases
Lead the definition and implementation of B2B products and business strategies that will drive growth of share and revenues from non-traditional business payments and other emerging strategies
Lead the expansion into new B2B products and services that capture untapped un-carded payment volumes and leverage Visa’s robust payment capabilities
Demonstrate thought-leadership, product technology development expertise and strong project management skills in the integration of technology into new product and service solutions
Responsible for P&L and day to day management of the VBS Product & Platform team.
Partner with internal and external constituencies to identify, research, and analyze new technology-based products, services and capabilities solicit input for concepts, enhancements and market intelligence
Define and prioritize a strong operating model with Visa’s technology partners on specific Product Enhancements and Product specifications
Manage the development of financial business case and ROI analysis for the owned projects
Coordinate across LAC VBS, Product & Platform team, and other internal Visa teams to ensure global alignment of solution offerings.
Manage B2B product gaps and new requirements for market delivery with the Commercial Platform and Technology Teams including prioritization, release timing and market communication.
Strategize with partners on major initiatives and opportunities, leveraging customer interactions to identify new and enhanced products and services.
Using known or collected electronic payments industry knowledge to drive new product opportunities for our issuers and downstream clients.
Client interaction with corporate treasury banks, Card Issuers, Acquirers, Processors and PSPs to understand their needs and pain points.
Cross functional interaction within Visa including Compliance, Client Readiness, Legal, Regulatory, Risk, Sales, Marketing, Product, Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy and Technology
Business and platform architecture enhancement management
Monitoring the market and developing competitive analysis.
Work with Global and regional Product Owners to develop program roadmaps which align to business objectives and sequenced by priority and resource availability. Creating a shared brain cross functional teams to empower independent decision making.
Acts as the customer advocate articulating the user’s and or buyer’s needs.
Ensure the program and projects are in compliance with Visa's Project Management Methodology and Key Controls and that accurate and timely information is reported regularly on program progress and financial status.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

•10 years of work experience with a bachelors degree 8 years of work experience with an Advanced degree e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD

Preferred Qualifications

•8 to 10 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 6 to 10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD.
•10-15 years of payments experience, including experience in product and in payments processing
•Broad knowledge in payment technology, Visa B2B solutions, Data Solutions and APIs
•Proven project management skills, strong attention to detail and execution focus
•Senior Leader with extensive experience 10+ years in Product Strategy and P&L management, preferably in B2B payments and Commercial cards.
•Knowledge of all electronic payment types including Commercial card payments.
•Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross functional teams including technical and non technical resources.
•Strong results oriented leader analytic and fact based consultative discipline.
•Add value to customers by insightful and thoughtful questioning, offering new ideas, and delivering solutions.
•Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.

Work Hours:

·       Incumbent must make themselves available to support time zones from other regions on an as needed basis
