We are seeking a Senior Business Program Manager who will report directly to the Project Management Office Director and accomplish the following:
Lead the planning, tracking, and coordination of a portfolio of projects from idea generation through value capture, meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations
Ensure that projects deliver the business value originally targeted, and are completed within the constraints of scope, quality, schedule, and budget
Establish effective communication with other managers across business and technical departments to clarify business requirements and intended outcomes
Coordinate the work of the teams within the projects to deliver regular status reporting, project level risk mitigation strategies and issue management.
Work to build a collaborative environment that supports the Univar Solutions Mission and Vision, utilizing project management governance, processes, tools and templates of the Univar Solutions PMO Center of Excellence
You are a good fit for this role because:
You have 7-10 years of project management experience
You have knowledge of distribution or manufacturing business processes and success metrics
You communicate well with all levels of an organization in multiple formats and have strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills
You're known for your strong leadership, decision-making and relationship management skills, and negotiation/influence skills with ability to achieve results in a sometimes-ambiguous and changing environment
You have financial planning, budgeting and financial management skills
You are an effective mentor (even if you're not a direct supervisor!)
You're a self-starter who takes initiative to clear up confusion and highlight/mitigate risk
You understand how projects are interdependent and can concisely report about a program of related projects
Desired experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in PC and Project Management applications (e.g. MS Office, MS Visio, MS Project, etc.) required
SAP knowledge in HR, Finance is strongly preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) or successful completion of recognized project management curriculum preferred
Experience/exposure to shared services and/or finance is a plus
