YOUR ROLE
You will support our Investments Derivatives Middle Office Group through trade processing and operations, periodic reporting and leading special projects. You will be primarily involved in the daily tasks associated with processing derivatives trades throughout the trade lifecycle. The Group works closely with our traders, the Derivatives Accounting team, the Derivatives IT team and other key stakeholders within Genworth. Derivatives is a high profile area at Genworth and Derivatives Middle Office offers a fast paced and challenging environment working with experienced professionals.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide confirmation of all new trades and reconciliation of positions
Research and resolve operational issues with both internal and external customers
Prepare client wire payment requests
Reconcile margin requirements
Manage collateral relationship with custodian
Receive/satisfy margin calls
Perform analytics on derivatives portfolio
Prepare development requirements for system / reporting improvements
Implement improvements to the current environment, which includes controls and automation
Work with Product Support Team to assist with various projects, including regulatory and industry initiatives
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree in finance, economics, accounting, or relevant analytical major
2+ years of financial services experience
1+ year of Derivatives operations experience, preferably in a middle office capacity or similar experience
Comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization (associates, leaders, and executives)
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Derivatives collateral experience
Experience leading derivatives projects or interest in leading projects
CPA, MBA, CFA or interest in continuing training and development
Experience with adhering to new regulatory requirements (e.g., new margin requirements for uncleared derivatives, mandatory initial margin or similar)
