Job Description
Job Purpose:
As a Software Engineering Intern, you’re going to contribute towards building high quality, working software that adds demonstrated business value. This is a highly technical position that requires you to build great software while working with your peers on Agile teams.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Build and deliver software that demonstrably provides business value
Follow coding standards and best practices
Interact with QA, BA, PO, and Agile Practice to contribute to high performing Agile teams.
Adhere to definition of done in all solutions
Ensure as-built documentation is captured
Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
Currently enrolled in a college or university in Computer Science or Data Science major
Returning for at least one more semester/quarter following the summer internship
Able to work full time hours during summer 2022 (June – August)
Stellar interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with C# and SQL Server 2016/2019
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Knowledge in .NET Core, RESTful APIs, Entity Framework or other ORM technologies
Familiarity with writing testable code and testable code best practices
Strong interest in multi-threaded, distributed, scalable systems processing high volumes
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Prior internship experience in Software Engineering
Prior experience as a back-end developer
Microsoft certification is a plus
Understanding of design patterns and best practices
