This position is responsible to process dental impressions shipped from US based dental offices (i.e. general practitioners and orthodontists) into 3D digital file with use of 3Shape’s desktop scanner and software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
15% - Receive impressions from external clinicians and log them into cloud-based database
15% - Sanitize impressions, preparing them for digital scanning
10% - Scan impressions through 3Shape desktop scanner or comparable scanner
10% - Reading and analyzing digital impressions through 3Shape software
10% - Digital (gingival) margin marking through 3Shape software
15% - Model building (plaster / stone pouring); Single and multiple unit digital design
10% - Process digital impressions file transfers to cloud-based database
10% - Responsible to store and keep records of impressions and stone/plaster models
5% - Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
SKILL:
Good understanding of the job and apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Apply acquired knowledge of procedures and external regulations.
COMPLEXITY:
Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. May be responsible for making independent procedural decisions.
SUPERVISION:
Work under minimal supervision and receive little to no instruction on daily work, receive general instruction on newly introduced assignments.
Qualifications
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 2 or more years of related experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Experience in dental/orthodontic space essential - knowledge of dental anatomy, scanning and aligner therapy.
Responsible for performing the following duties in a professional way, supporting Ortho Organizers’ Quality Policy. Must understand, follow and comply with regulatory requirements as applicable to various processes. An understanding of FDA Quality System Regulations (21 CFR 820) and ISO Standards (ISO 13485) is required.
