Job Summary:
The Vizualization Analyst sits in the Invesco’s Insights & Analytics organization which is working across Invesco’s retail and institutional businesses in the Americas. Reporting to the Sr. Product Owner, Analytical Design, this role will help enable insights for data deriven decision making, leading to increased sales of Invesco products. The core responsibility will be to design and execute visualization-based tools for democratized analysis and insight generation to help enhance our business decisions. The individual will partner with technology scrum team, data scientists, and sales and marketing stakeholders for the delivery of solutions.

The Department: 

Insight and Analytics is responsible for increasing data driven decision making at Invesco. The group works mostly with the Americas Distribution and Marketing teams to help increase net sales through a better understanding of our clients (financial advisors). It works like a small startup within the organization, with a clear focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency through end-to-end management of data, analytics, visualization and in-field implementation. While the team is not new, there is a distinct focus on restructuring the talent through training and recruiting as well as redefining the vision and engagement model with the rest of the organization. In short, it’s an exciting place to be at for self-starters who want to set and own their paths forward.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Work in partnership with cross-divisional teams to design, prototype, and deliver analytical delivery tools
Make the design of data analysis process and visualization is reusable and flexible
Establish and maintain design consistency, standards, and accuracy on all projects, including their documentation
Drives the discovery of innovative data visualization solutions
Develops, maintains and grows knowledge of customer’s business
Refine analytical tools to achieve the best possible user experience.
Ensures risks and issues are addressed in a clear and transparent manner
Serve as a liaison between business teams and tech team

Experience / Knowledge:

3+ years of experience in UI/UE design, serving analytical initiatives; preferably within an Agile framework
3+ years of experience in developing interactive dashboards, data analytical tools or data pipeline
5+ years of experience in SQL
5+ years of experience in Java script, or other dynamically-typed languages
2+ years of experience in visualized data analytical tools, e.g. Tableau, Qlik or PowerBI
Extension development experience is a big plus

Other Skills Required:

Good understanding of financial metrics and statistical concepts
Strong problem-solving skills
Self-starter with results focus and passion for learning
Experience in working on complex projects preferably within an Agile framework
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues across all levels
