Job Description

The primary tasks, duties, and responsibilities are below:

Ensuring that the organization complies with outside regulatory and legal requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures
Working hand in hand with management, legal and business team to identify and manage regulatory risk
Maintaining open lines of communication with all relevant decision makers and stakeholders in order to keep all parties informed of regulatory changes
Organizing regular training sessions for employees in order to efficiently communicate key regulatory changes and updates
Ensuring standards through disciplinary policies to ensure the organization achieves and maintains government compliance
Creating and implementing organizational policies, standards, and procedures to comply with applicable regulations
Ability and desire to identify and drive process improvement initiatives utilizing the latest technology tools
Ensuring that the company is equipped with internal controls that adequately measure and manage the risks it faces.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

Preferred: Master's - Accounting / Finance; Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Well developed communication skills in order to effectively work well with colleagues, and key internal/external stakeholders.
Possessing strong analytical skills, paying careful and particular attention to detail, and also have an investigative mindset
Having a deep and sound knowledge of regulatory policies as regulatory compliance officers are responsible for creating and implementing policies

Job Overview

The leader in this role performs and coordinates activities related to internal and external audits of Company or business unit functional areas to ensure compliance with enforceable standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Assists business units in the preparation and submittal of documents required for compliance and related legal proceedings           
Interacts with compliance teams, regulatory groups and other company personnel to build relationships, address compliance issues, develop advocacy plans and resolve problems 
Analyzes and communicates the impact of key regulatory issues related to strategic business goals and potential market impact           
Monitors standard approval process at the applicable level and participates in workshop panels and submits comments as required          
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree            
Experience: 8+ years         
Leadership Experience: 2+ years
