Job Description

You will serve as a liaison with the senior team and OpCo leadership: providing project executive on major capital projects, both local and remote, to deliver real estate and facility related solutions to the enterprise. You will handle facility operations and maintenance, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, engineering, design, construction, and workplace strategy.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Provide the strategic vision in the development of facility and real estate business plans that aligns with the Company's evolving business needs and initiatives.
Direct the vision, strategy and management associated with the Altria real estate portfolio including short and long term planning for the industrial, office and retail space needs of the enterprise. Advise a professional staff in crafting solutions that involves acquisitions, disposals, relocations, and redesign along with lease management and administration expertise.
Direct, develops and provides oversight in the creation, implementation and control reviews of a complex operating budget ($100 MM +/-) of both capital and expense expenditures that include facility systems and services, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance planning, building infrastructure projects, lease related expenses, workplace experience and amenity services, utilities, taxes and depreciation.
Provide subject matter expertise in facility operations, engineering, workplace strategy and real estate trends to senior leadership in support of the development of long range strategies and business objectives.
Develop both technical and non-technical staff to ensure that they meet internal and external policies, requirements and controls while delivering efficient quality based products and services.

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO HAVE:

A four-year undergraduate engineering degree required plus 10-15 years of demonstrated ability in corporate facilities, real estate and project engineering experience.
Professional engineering license, advanced degree and/or equivalent skills through demonstrated experience preferred. Requires broad engineering expertise and expert knowledge of technical fields and with highly developed project management skills.
Excellent problem solving, negotiation and communication skills required to effectively direct and manage frequent collaborations with senior executives, building occupants, regulatory officials and consultants.
Demonstrated knowledge of real estate practices and principles, with significant experience negotiating complex transactions. The ability to interpret and direct the administration of contracts and other legal documents associated with leasing and owning real property.
Knowledge of company policies and controls regarding financial, environmental and safety issues in addition to regulatory policies at the local, state and federal levels.
Mentoring leadership experiences in running a diverse team of professionals and demonstrate a history of success in influencing senior executives and operating company leadership.
Working senior leader with proven track record to multi-task complex projects across several operating and service companies.
Ability to travel (domestically and internationally) to project sites and vendor locations. Visits to sites may include inspecting construction in progress and equipment requiring you to climb and maneuver in tight spaces.
