The role in summary

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for an Associate – UX Designer opening to join our Global Consumer Design organization.

A portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions will be needed to be considered for the role.

Your responsibilities will include

Understand our consumers’ needs, behaviors and abilities and be an advocate for them throughout product development.
Collaborate with cross-functional global stakeholders to understand requirements and co-create thoughtful solutions.
Work closely with industrial designers, visual designers, marketing and engineering.
Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes.
Document the specifications utilized by engineers to execute your design.
Plan and conduct usability and research activities to ensure that user-centered design principles and methods impact our wide range of consumer products, providing input and actionable recommendations to strategic partners such as Industrial Designers, Product Developers, Engineers, and Marketers.
Develop and conduct in-home research to gather insights by observing the user in their home environment.
Collaborate with the Strategy Team to create and maintain now-near-far term roadmaps for user experience design and technology application.
Stay on top of the latest trends for product innovation by analyzing the competitive landscape and the adjacent industries 

Minimum requirements

Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of UX Design experience
Experience with Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Abstract, Zeplin, as well as experience with Android and IOS.

Preferred skills and experiences

Master's degree in Human Factors, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Experimental Psychology, or a closely related field.
Ability to design seamlessly between the physical and digital experiences.
Relevant industry experience. 
Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
Understanding of the human-centered design process.
Experience collaborating with a cross-functional team throughout the design process. 
Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve features, all with a user-centered design process.
Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy.
Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for multiple platforms and modalities.
Experience with Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator
