Candidates will need a portfolio of creative, contemporary examples or commensurate experience in the field to be qualified for the role.

Your responsibilities will include

Thought leadership in the “Internet Of Things,” space.
Evaluate state of the art and emerging product design in competitive spaces and interpret relevant trends in user interaction technologies and practices.
Create compelling, innovative user experiences for connected and future appliances delivered on mobile and product platforms.  
Develop  prototype concepts - “the next big thing” in the consumer appliance interactive space.
Demonstrate the ability to quickly integrate 3rd party software solutions, online service APIs, off-the-shelf electronics components in order to prototype and convey experience viability.
Nurture a “finger on the pulse” of the technology landscape. Provide insights into the promising application of multi-sensory hardware and software consumer electronics components such as light, sound, speech, haptics, and environmental sensors.
Collaborate with all facets of the design organization, across brands, categories and regions to drive a consistent connected vision throughout the company.

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of Front-end UI development experience.
Experience accessing 3rd Party API's and services

Preferred skills and experiences

Graduate degree in the art and science of graphic/interaction design and a portfolio of creative, contemporary examples or commensurate experience in the field.
Possess cutting edge knowledge and experience relative to the technology/interaction design space. If you’re a maker, hacker or coder your passion for creating tech is key.
Familiarity with mechatronics engineering.
Android, Arduino, C++, Python development expertise is desired.
Familiarity with mobile operating system platforms, Arduino IDE,  and the design aspects which are related to them is helpful.
Familiar with AI, machine learning, model development and integration into custom applications.
Comfortable with a soldering iron, Arduino, ESPs and various input and output devices.
Ability to understand new software concepts and languages. Quickly develop mobile prototypes leveraging native libraries and capabilities. 
A deep understanding of the technology and trends in the industry.
The ability to communicate ideas powerfully and collaborate skillfully with graphic designers, industrial designers, usability specialists, electronics technicians, and software engineers. 
An understanding of the fundamentals of software programming and development are critical and continual development of skills is a must.
