The Performance Reporting Analyst will play a key role in the execution of initiatives related to Advice & Wealth Management (AWM) performance reporting, including research, driving business requirements, and reporting support related to the investment performance reporting capabilities for the AWM segment of Ameriprise Financial. This role will also aid in developing and maintaining the infrastructure required to support ongoing performance reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with other business units (e.g. products, technology, legal, compliance, communication, training, field implementation, etc.) and vendors, participate in the execution of projects aimed at enhancing the quality of the performance data along with improving the front-end experience.
• Maintain an intake process for all questions/escalations related to data, calculations, and functionalities in performance reporting tools.
• Maintain control-related testing across the various performance tools to ensure a single, cohesive approach to testing/audit protocols of reporting mechanisms and underlying data.
• In collaboration with other business units, participate in the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) compliance verification for the composites of third party products on the Advisory Platform.
• Help maintain business ownership of the performance reporting tools utilized for client performance reporting and calculation and presentation of composites' performance for the products on the Advisory Platform.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience preferably in the financial services industry.
• Reporting and analysis experience in a financial services organization (broker/dealer preferred).
• Knowledge in investment concepts, practices, procedures, management operations and tools.
• Conceptual and practical understanding of the various performance metrics, such as different money-weighted and time-weighted return methodologies, risk analytics, benchmarking, and asset allocation.
• Strong communications skills, both oral and written, to interact with team, business partners, advisors, and senior management.
• Ability to execute on small to medium scale projects with limited supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Accounting or other quantitative discipline
• Experience working with performance measurement and portfolio accounting systems (e.g. Albridge, First Rate, Fiserv APL, Informa, Envestnet).
• CIPM and/or CFA designation, or progress towards.
• Understanding of GIPS and ability to apply the standards to performance calculations and representations.
