WHAT YOU WILL DO
Drive, sustain and advance Global Commercial capabilities. The role is Solution Architect within Amgen’s -Global Commercial Operations Information Systems team. As a member of this team, you will collaborate with partner Information Systems organizations, Enterprise Platform Teams and Amgen’s Global Marketing and Commercial Capabilities teams to define and manage delivery of new features and functions within Amgen’s technology ecosystem to enable business growth, customer engagement strategies and ensure access to our products. This role will engage cross-functionally and across geographies to help support over 100 countries worldwide, including Europe, Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Canada and Latin America. We are looking for a SOLUTION ARCHITECT with a proven versatile abilities, including technical savvy and excellent learning agility with the ability to lead joint discussions requiring creative solutions to complex healthcare industry challenges. The Architect will demonstrate the combination of prior experience, problem solving skills and client engagement skills to drive commercial business strategies to successful outcomes.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of the Amgen’s core and industry technologies, and recommends solutions that drive significant and strategic business outcomes
Establishes and oversees the technology architecture to advance Global Marketing and Commercial capabilities
Leads the solution design development and documentation for the initiatives within the respective business area
Partners with the technical architects and platform teams, enterprise-wide, to identify end-to-end coordinated designs, aligned with the IS-strategy
Responsible for ensuring that the solution providers and/or software developers follow the solution design documentation and development standards
Leads the tracking of technical problems and issues, and their resolution
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems and/or Software Engineer experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems and/or Software Engineer experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems and/or Software Engineer experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems and/or Software Engineer experience

Highly organized self-starter with excellent communication skills
Strong learning agility and technical leadership with the ability to breakdown complex topics and issues into actionable plans
Demonstrated ability to organize, manage, and direct cross-functional teams to address and solve business and technical issues
Demonstrated track record of delivering IS solutions that yield measurable business results
Development/Engineering background with Amgen’s strategic platforms; Salesforce, AWS
Experience with data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization solutions such as Tableau and Salesforce Einstein Analytics
Experience with Design-Thinking methodology and User Experience driven solutions.
Experience with Agile/Iterative Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and standard change management practices
Experience with DevOps
Experience building productive working relationships across different functions/organizations
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate with Business, and Stakeholders of various levels of technical background and expertise
Project management experience
Demonstrated ability to coordinate/lead multiple projects/activities with competing priorities
Experience supporting international commercial markets in the biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry.
Solid understanding of commercial processes, particularly Global Marketing and Customer Engagement.
