This job is responsible for both scrum master and business analyst roles within customer technology. This position must understand one or more business domains in great depth. This knowledge will help to shape strategy and implementation to solve business needs while understanding the larger picture of how functionality integrates across domain. This position requires significant client/customer contact, integration skills, teamwork and creativity. Projects that this role will lead are likely to be implemented on the customer experience platform (Salesforce). Candidates for this position should be proficient in Salesforce admin capabilities, or interested in becoming proficient. Technical, business and design knowledge are key elements of the position. They will own and lead in the definition, design, and documentation of business requirements that drive development of software solutions. Primary duties include business process analysis, business requirement gathering (definition and documentation), partnering with cross-functional users and technical teams, running an agile team, conducting all ceremonies, and business knowledge consulting. This person will work closely with others on the team during all stages of the software development life cycle. Ideal candidates will be self motivated, organized, have excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills. Since numerous features will be running concurrently, they must be able to effectively handle multiple overlapping initiatives and have strong attention to detail. They must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships, as they will work closely within their own team and other tech department areas and business partners. They will have strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with technical writing and translating complex concepts into client-friendly documents /presentations. Due to training and project requirements, it is anticipated the successful candidate will remain in current assignment/area for a minimum of 24 months before considering other internal opportunities.

Research and recommend adjustments to existing processes along with new concepts to create industry leading customer & business experience
Provide subject matter expertise and use this knowledge to act as the primary communications link between tech and its customers
Proficient in Salesforce Admin responsibilities

Qualifications
Required
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred
A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
Experience with various software development methodologies, including Agile
Experience developing requirements documents in forms such as use cases or requirements matrices and strong understanding of software development processes
Experience working with cross functional teams in large, distributed systems
3+ years experience / knowledge in Information Technology specifically software development teams
Knowledge of UP or other railroad operations
Physical Requirements
