Based in our St. Louis, MO location, you will be a key team member managing employee resources, production space and equipment for Emerson’s North America Integration Center. This team manufactures turn key process control equipment for industrial customers across North America. You will be the responsible point of contact regarding creating and maintaining production schedules and interfacing with production management to ensure our product is delivered on time and within budget. Starting with sales forecast data and ending with booked order data, you are responsible to forecast and balance personnel space availability against project schedule requirements.
AS THE PRODUCTION PLANNING ASSOCIATE, YOU WILL:
Coordinate with Production Manager to develop and execute production plan.
Refer material constraints to the procurement team to ensure the correct materials are available when production schedules dictate
Follow existing global scheduling process to achieve production objectives.
With guidance from the MRP Consultant, analyze production requirements and identify and report plant capacity constraints
Develop production status reports for weekly production staff meetings.
Monitor workflow and project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
Collaborate with peers at other global iCenter locations to develop and share best practices
Support Project Managers to plan and coordinate production schedules as a component to the overall project schedule
Develop complete project schedule deliverables in conjunction with the Project Managers as required
Report specific KPI and metrics for the facility for local and global management review
Contribute to overall organizational sales and operations planning process during monthly updates
Provide backlog perspectives during monthly and quarterly forecast updates

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Two year degree/diploma in Business or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience or Four year degree in Business or equivalent with no experience
Intermediate proficiency in Excel including pivot tables for analysis and business intelligence applications such as Oracle BI, or Tableau is required.
Familiarity with an MRP system such as Oracle or SAP, with a compatible business intelligence platform
Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
3 years of experience supporting automation, construction, or a medium volume, high mix manufacturing environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
experience in a role related to planning or project execution is a plus.
Proficiency with MS Project or similar scheduling tool
Practical knowledge of industry best practices around resource planning
Comfortable manage shifting priorities in a fast paced environment.
Specific coursework or certificate related to manufacturing planning
Experience in Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement
Experience with Oracle Manufacturing preferred
