The role is key to influence project portfolio, motivate change aligned with Alcoa's Purpose and Values, and enable HR to become a more strategic partner to the businesses. The key outcomes expected from this position includes effective metrics and on-time, on-cost, on-quality deliveries that will contribute to the whole organization.
This professional will work with different products/processes owners to drive an integrated roadmap creating accountability and providing transparency to leadership on transformation strategy and progress. It also includes proactively identify any roadblocks or interdependencies to ensure that challenges are addressed in advance, ensuring delivery of projects on time, quality and cost. This role will need to ensure each initiative is aligned with the key tenets of HR.
The role reports to the Global People Solutions Director at Alcoa.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop coordinated HR transformation roadmap across workstreams; lead and supervise implementation plans that will include results, timelines, and interdependencies.
Support Product/Process Owners as a mentor, in all phases of a project, from scoping and resourcing to final execution and post-project support.
Define PMO cadence and overall transformation governance to drive speed, scale and agility of delivery; manage cross-workstream scope and resourcing with the processes owners inputs.
Regularly connect with stakeholders to build accountability and be an empathetic partner to enable leaders to achieve key milestones
Support issue resolution within and between initiatives; advance to senior leadership as the need arises.
Identify critical metrics and own development of dashboard that provides transparency on important projects and recurring programs
Serve as an advisor to the HR Lead Team, proactively monitoring and challenging execution teams
Coordinate the over-arching business case for the transformation in partnership with Finance.
Work with Change Leader to identify partners, influence them, and engage the full organization in the success of the projects.
Navigate Alcoa’s matrixed organization across teams to influence and drive support across teams as needed.
