LendingTree is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant for the Financial Reporting team. This team oversees all aspects of external financial reporting (including SEC filings), provides technical accounting support for the organization, and manages certain corporate accounting functions (including debt, equity, and employee compensation). The Financial Reporting Team is part of the Corporate Controller’s internal organization and works closely with the Corporate Controller.

Primary Responsibilities

Own the Company’s equity compensation administration within E*TRADE, including equity grants approvals, vestings and exercises.
Lead the process to compile compensation-related disclosures for the annual proxy statement
Manage and reply to employee inquiries regarding their stock plan accounts.
Preparation of statement of cash flows, footnotes and MD&A for Forms 10-Q and 10-K, including workpaper preparation, comment review and document editing.
Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits, including memo documentation and providing auditor support.
Support the Company’s SEC filing and XBRL functions using the Workiva platform.
Prepare month-end close journal entries for corporate accruals, debt transactions and employee matters, including stock compensation, payroll, bonus and commissions. Monthly responsibilities are subject to change as processes evolve and resource allocations are reset.
Prepare internal reporting for Executive Management as needed.
Participate in technical accounting projects including analysis of newly issued Accounting Standards Updates.
Coordinate the integration of new acquisitions for areas of responsibility, including purchase accounting.
Proactively suggest improvements to accounting processes to gain efficiencies.
Participate as assigned in new business projects/processes.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA/CPA candidate.
Two or more years of public accounting or SEC Registrant experience.
Ability to research and apply technical accounting standards.
Very strong in Excel, current with new functionalities.
Experience with Workiva and E*TRADE is a plus.
Must be able to work creatively, calmly, flexibly and under tight deadlines to respond quickly and positively to shifting/multiple demands and opportunities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
Strong attention to details with the ability to develop accurate written materials.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, committed, dependable and loyal.
Excellent work ethic.
