Requirements

First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least three to five years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices and theory.
Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
Must have the requisite agile knowledge of software development experience to coach and guide Development Team members on how to improve their skills
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games
Proven experience coaching teams, going through the scrum ceremonies. Need to be proactive, not just going through standard checklists but driving the product and development team
Firm understanding of incremental delivery and metrics, including backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definitions

Responsibilities:

Communicate well with teams and demonstrate value-add principles
Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to and make difficult calls for compliance
Recognize and address behaviors that are counterproductive to the team dynamic and meeting sprint objectives
Identify issues as they arise and elevate them to management
