Manager of Executive Compensation is responsible for providing leadership to Team of professionals charged with administration and execution of executive compensation at Southwest Airlines. 

Work Activities/Context:

·       Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.

·       May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders.

·       Oversees daily activities of Executive Compensation by managing and prioritizing the obligations of the team, assigning tasks according to individual strengths, making critical and timely decisions, ensuring quality of performance and providing coverage when necessary in order to maintain Team productivity.

·       Collaborate with Legal, Financial Reporting and Internal Audit departments on all matters related to PSP compliance, Proxy reporting and Compensation Committee governance

·       Initiate and develop strong business relationships throughout the organization to consult on program initiatives, gain insight and identify opportunities for education and engagement with executives.

·       Oversee the documentation of executive compensation administration, including, but not limited to policies, processes, guides, reports and presentations. 

·       Coach, mentor and develop members of the Executive Comp Team by providing guidance, developing individual goals, suggesting career opportunities, sharing constructive feedback and facilitating crucial conversation in order to assist team member sin reaching their fullest potential and prepared them for the next level of responsibility. 

·       Manage individual performance by setting and communicating expectations, ensuring results, and providing feedback in order to promote growth and develop a strong succession plan.

·       Participate in and lead, when appropriate, project teams by providing subject matter expertise and guidance.

·       Collaborate with Manager of Compensation for the delivery of a comprehensive compensation strategy that is consistent and appropriate for evolving business operations.

·       Manage the preparation of Compensation Committee materials for Senior Management including, but not limited to agendas, calendars, presentations, analyses, and recommendations

·       Keep informed of trends in executive compensation and advise Senior Leadership as needed on marketplace and regulatory developments and their applicability to ensure competitive market positioning in line with marketplace trends and internal budgetary consideration
