PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Actively participates in the accurate financial planning, reporting and analysis functions.  This position will also be utilized to adequately fulfill ad hoc requests from various internal and external sources to support decision-making.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Prepare the full-year forecast/reports, including: monthly financial close package, monthly scorecard and financial performance indicators.  And working with finance team to mitigate/resolve forecasting and planning concerns (35%)
Assist in preparation of various reports and data requests and answers ad-hoc requests for internal and external reporting customers. Routinely communicate actual performance compared to budget/plan/goals (35%)
Functioning as a member of CS Financial Planning & Controls team with responsibilities for ensuring a financial perspective is brought to daily operations, proper classification (Reg Asset, O&M vs Capital) and treatment is followed, and compliance with all managerial policies. (15%)
Liaison to business units to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of information exchange (10%)
Participates in the annual budgeting process and assist in updating long-range and budget planning models. (5%)

This is an individual contributor position that works independently with only general direction, relying on knowledge skills and judgment acquired through education and relevant experience to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. The position regularly mentors less experienced colleagues.  Position requires routine interaction with key internal and external stakeholders, executives, directors, managers and staff across the organization.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering and/or business) or equivalent related experience and 2 - 5 years experience relevant energy conservation/energy efficiency work experience, primarily in project management and technology assessment, performance management, measurement and evaluation, and knowledge of marketing communications. OR in lieu of a bachelor's degree, 6 - 9 years of stated relevant experience
Ability to multi-task across various types of projects and deliver a quality work product within the required timeframe.
Ability to provide analytical and relevant technical support of program and energy efficiency measure evaluation of projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

4-year degree in financial related field and 2 to 5 years relevant experience.
Analytical understanding of finance and accounting
Effective written skills
Thorough computer base analytical skills (Microsoft Office)
