Responsibilities:
Market Citigroup’s private market execution capabilities, contribute to team strategy and deliver a high level of customer service
Develop new relationships, cement current relationships and share existing relationships with Citi colleagues
Coordinate the Private Market Strategy between Equities, Private Bank, Capital Markets and Banking
Work with Equities management to grow Private Market product offering to monetize private market growth
Coordinate transaction interest in private market securities and quarterback the consummation of transactions through legal process
Offer certain client full sales trading plus trading coverage and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policy
Develop client from acquisition to ownership of high profile institutional accounts
Lead strong governance and controls
Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
10+ years of sales trading experience with public and private market exposure
In-depth knowledge of the investor universe in private markets, key relationships with investors and/or issuers
Experience consummating private market transactions and working through legal process
Proven demonstration of bridging between divisions within an organization, ideally between equities, capital markets, private bank
In-depth knowledge of equity analysis, market dynamics and fundamentals,
In-depth knowledge of financial institutions asset classes and products
Proven client relationships and institutional client-specific knowledge
Knowledge of equity trading, trading strategies, the market place and market issues
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Proven negotiation and persuasion skills and fluency in additional languages preferred
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree optional
