The Actuarial Analyst - US Reserving will assist with US Operations reserve analyses and related activities (including financial close activities and ad hoc projects), preparation and reconciliation of reserve-related data, and gathering information for year-end reporting (Actuarial Opinion and annual report) as well as external reporting (auditors and BMA/EBS).
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assist in the execution of US Operations reserve reviews under the direction of the VP – US Reserving.
Prepare reserving related reports for US Reserving including quarterly reserve meeting material.
Improvement of data and reports to increase the efficiency of the US Reserving close process and associated reporting.
Participate in the internal peer review process.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or related field of study.
3+ exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society pursuing credentials.
2+ years of property/casualty experience.
Basic knowledge of property/casualty insurance.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Ability to interact and work within a team environment and approach actuarial work as a collaborative product.
Detail-oriented and able to quickly evaluate the accuracy of information.
Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
Ability to work with various data software such as SQL, VBA, and Power BI.
Experience with ResQ is a plus.
The range provided is for Colorado-based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than CO may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. Pay range: $79,200 - $93,300 plus eligibility for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
