What you’ll do:

Ensure day-to-day operations run like a well-oiled machine: Use your supernatural organizational powers to help manage the health care needs of our varied patient populations, accurately follow all policies and procedures, provide excellent customer service through all avenues of communication, practice in alignment with the scope of your certification or licensure, appropriately manage ambiguity, recognize appropriate ways to deal with conflict management, and properly document your efforts of all the care and information provided to our patients.

Get hands-on:

For medical assistants, you will be doing many different patient care tasks, which includes taking vital signs, entering data in patient chart, assisting with in-office procedures, administering oral and IM medications, drawing blood, process specimens in our lab, perform EKG’s,  discharge patients while providing patient teaching and outreaching to patients and providers for the purposes of continuing care. You may also be returning calls to patients, answering questions for patients, completing referrals, and forms management. You will also have the opportunity to register patients for their visits, and process copays. Overall, you will work with the clinicians, your peers, and the patients to meet the needs of the department.. Great communication is a “must” to be successful.

This job is for you if you possess the following:

Graduate of approved MA program or graduate of an unapproved program with successful completion of certification examination; graduate of a US Armed Forces medical services program or practicing medical assistant who completed supervision requirements prior to February 2, 2000 (“grandfather clause”). High school diploma or GED certificate Excellent customer skills, and care deeply about providing empathetic, quality care to customers Time spent in a healthcare environment   Know your way around a computer BLS certification

Bonus points for:

1+ year experience in the outpatient setting
1+ year experience in an Urgent Care setting
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
