Job Summary

Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Serves as the senior technical consultant responsible for design, engineering and development of information technology solutions. Leads the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions. Troubleshoots and proceeds on resolving complex infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc. May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve escalated infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise. Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems. May serve as the primary contact for vendors. Technologies span mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Infrastructure Engineering assignments.

Key Responsibilities

·    Partner with enterprise Infrastructure team to drive infrastructure decisions for the Cornerstone program, including database, cloud, and environment strategies

(including automation of Infrastructure as code)

·       Work collaboratively with other Technology team members to support DevOps approach, environment maintenance, data and integrations infrastructure, etc.

·       Assist with the installation of tools to support core application

·       Troubleshoot issues in non-production environments

·       Plan and coordinate third party application software upgrades in all environments

·       Work on custom automation solutions to support the team

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite

Required Experience/Qualifications

·       MUST BE A CURRENT CONTRACTOR WITH CIGNA, EVERNORTH OR EXPRESS SCRIPTS.  Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation

·       4+ years of experience in an application development environment managing infrastructure components

·       3 years of experience working on complex, enterprise level platforms or solutions

·       2+ years of experience with Cloud infrastructure (AWS) and automation of Infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, Cloudformation or similar technologies

·       Ability to develop a working knowledge of the technical domain to effectively support technical risks that may arise.

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills

·       Excellent complex infrastructure troubleshooting and risk assessment skills.

·       Leadership and project management skills to coordinate collaboration across multiple teams

·       Ability to partner with senior leaders and influence the decision making process, collaborate across the organization and operate effectively within a matrix environment by resolving

conflict and influencing others

Desired Experience/Qualifications

·       Previous support of QNXT, Facets or similar COTS application

·       8 years of experience in same or similar field

·       Medicare/Medicaid knowledge
