Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in ourCountry Operationsdivision. We are looking for aGrain Originator.You will work extensively with producers and country elevators in procuring grain and setting up marketing programs. Youmust be able to make decisions, work independently, be detail oriented, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

Be introduced to managing a domestic trading profit center.
Build relationships with both internal and external customers.
Communicate daily bid changes and closing bids to customers.
Learn an understand truck, rail and barge freight spreads and their impact on market basis values, with application to the market valuations of commodities.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Manage 1 or more procurement merchants as direct reports.
Purchase Ag products (wheat, corn, soybeans, and/or other products).
Understand and apply company trade policies and applicable trade rules, i.e. NGFA.
Work closely with internal Grain Marketing personnel (i.e., grain merchants, freight desks, hedge desk and accountants) in exchange of information.
Work with producers and country elevators to form marketing plans.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

2+ years in Supply Chain and/or Procurement

Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Economics, Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Systems Engineering, Statistics or in a related field.
