Current Need:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Ontada, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to the current and future versions of the analytic data platform. This platform transforms our customers’ clinical, financial, and operational data into actionable information that enables population health and performance management. You will have the opportunity to build these new solutions utilizing new technologies on cloud-based infrastructure.
Essential Functions:
Participate in architecture decisions and research
Participate in the full lifecycle of product development, from definition, design, implementation, and testing
Be an advocate for development best practices in the organization and improvements across engineering
Establishes strong working relationships and fosters an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
Takes technical ownership for specific facets of the technology stack
Expected to cross train team members on areas of technical expertise
Expected to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize existing codebase
Develop tools and utilities to maintain high system availability, monitor data quality, and provide statistics
Minimum Requirements:
4+ years of software development experience in an object-orientated programming language
Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
Critical Skills:
Knowledge of big data ecosystem
Proficiency with Unix and Linux command line tools
Knowledge of industry CI/CD frameworks
Proficiency with Unix and Linux command line tools
Working knowledge of SQL or other relational databases, and data warehousing principles
Working knowledge of ETL principles
Additional Skills:
1+ years of professional experience with the big data ecosystem (cloud or on-prem)
1+ years of professional experience with cloud architecture, AWS preferred
Knowledge of healthcare IT systems and workflows
4+ years of professional experience in software product development, and development of complex software frameworks
Working knowledge of open-source frameworks like Apache Kafka, Flink and Hadoop
Working knowledge of Python or Java
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work gracefully and effectively in high-pressure situations
