The Vendor Management and Procurement Office (VMO) manages the end-to-end vendor lifecycle for vendors in categories of spend as assigned, enables the organization to control costs, mitigate risks, drives service excellence and gains increased value from vendors throughout contract life cycles. This position manages the selection of appropriate vendors within assigned categories of spend, and optimizes the development, management and control of vendor contracts, relationships and performance for the efficient delivery of contracted products and services. In addition, this position works in close collaboration with senior leaders and their support staff, including Program Management, Legal and Third Party Risk Management, leading a variety of vendor sourcing and management activities across the enterprise.

We are in search of a Senior T Contract Administrator to manage the contract drafting and negotiation process for software, hardware, maintenance and professional services purchases made by the IT organization. The IT Contract Administrator serves a key function as the primary liaison with the Legal Department to ensure compliance with all terms, provisions and processes that are critical to the continued success of the company. The IT Contract Administrator also manages negotiation of contract data security provisions for third parties who will access, collect, receive, process or store DISH data, regardless of whether the contract itself is being negotiated by the IT Contract Administrator.

Primary Responsibilities

Includes all IT vendor management activities for professional and contingent workforce; as well as hardware and software spend.
Serves as a centralized Relationship Manager for all IT vendors.
Performs contract reviews and negotiations by actively partnering with senior business leaders and subject matter experts, Legal and 3rd Party Risk Management.
Ensures vendor relationships have metrics to evaluate performance and adherence to SLAs through surveys, scorecards and running quarterly business reviews.
Maintains knowledge of vendor(s), oversees invoicing and payments; manages and evaluates vendor performance, manages contracts and serves as the lead on all vendor related negotiations.
Conducts spend and vendor analysis to look for opportunities for savings levers.
Assists Director of Vendor Management in communication of and ensuring adherence to Vendor Management Framework enterprise wide. Updates and enhances Framework as necessary per industry best practices as applicable.
Works with the business stakeholders and Talent Acquisition team to identify and hire the most qualified and talented individuals to fill open positions.
Addresses and resolves all performance concerns and issues in a timely manner..
Keeps current with trends and issues in the Project and IT industry, including current technologies. Advises, counsels, and educates executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
Ensures close collaboration with key departments throughout vendor life cycle management including Third Party Risk Management, Program Management, Legal and business stakeholders.
Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.

Qualifications

Bachelors in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Pre-Law, or related field preferred. MBA is desirable, or a J.D. from an ABA-acredited law school is highly desirable.
Demonstrated subject matter expertise leading, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for complex IT business services and products.
8+ years of proven experience managing the financial analysis of spend data and working with vendors, subcontractors and partners, including the execution of vendor contracts to ensure adherence to contract provisions 

2 Years experience drafting commercial agreements and negotiating commercial deals preferred

Expertise in vendor management and vendor risk assessment best practices, processes and concepts.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to exercise influence cross-functionally, work collaboratively and build and maintain effective relationships with all levels of executives, internal team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and conflict management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical contractual concepts to management, associates, and other internal and external stakeholders.
