Job Description

We are looking for Data Architects for our major Client in San Francisco, CA. Will work remotely to start with and then at the client location.

The Data Architects should have a passion for data and technology with the desire to hold impactful roles on challenging client projects.

The ideal candidate will:

1) Collaborate with business process and data governance managers to build data strategy, direction and roadmap for master data management, data quality program, data warehousing/lake, business intelligence and analytics

2) Develop and design of data models models for complex analytical and data warehouse systems including performing tasks related to data profiling, database design, data analysis, data quality, metadata management and support.

3) Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Solution Architects in the implementation and evangelizing the use of various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

4) Work on project teams to translate business requirements into system qualities that lead to repeatable and executable design strategies and patterns

5) Partner with IT on implementation of cloud-based data warehouse solutions utilizing cluster and parallel RDMS (Snowflake), NoSQL architectures.

6) Lead in Developing Project requirements for end to end Data integration process using ETL for Structured, semi-structured and Unstructured Data

7) Develop proof of concept prototypes for next-generation data lake solution

8) Make necessary on-going updates to modeling principles, processes, solutions and best practices to ensure that the data management is aligned with changing needs of the environment 9) Act as Data domain expert in a collaborative environment

Qualifications / Requirements 

1) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.

2) 2+ years of data analysis, data modeling, data integration experience, working alongside business and IT teams in support of IT project and business initiatives

3) Curiosity, business and results orientation is a must, alongside knowledge of and experience with leading data analysis and data management approaches

4) Hands on data-centric operational experience, in support of business functions

5) Demonstrated project experience and skills in information requirements gathering, current state analysis, data architecture and data management process definition

6) Experienced in creating polished high- and low-level design documentation, to facilitate the development cycle

7) Demonstrated understanding of data management best practices and patterns

8) Detail-orientation with the ability to rapidly learn and leverage new concepts, business models, and technologies

9) Expert knowledge and demonstrated abilities working in large, multi-million-dollar Data architecture programs

10) Proven ability to work and communicate with all levels within the IT and Business organization 11) Experience in influencing executive business and IT leadership 12) Ability to design, develop and document Business Process Management workflows, spanning both orchestration and human task use cases

Responsibilities:

Participate in data strategy and road map exercises, data architecture definition, business intelligence/data warehouse product selection, design and implementation.
Play key roles in large projects: Senior Data Modeler, Technical Lead, and Data Architect.
Participate and provide technical leadership in all phases of a project from discovery and planning through implementation and delivery.
Work through all stages of a data solution life cycle: analyze/profile data, create conceptual, logical & physical data model designs, architect and design ETL, reporting and analytics solutions.
Architect and design data solutions for insurance, healthcare and other industries.
Wear many hats and gain experience with tools, technologies and platforms across many technology stacks.
Work closely and share ideas with fellow Architects, Developers and Technical Project Managers.
Learn new things, and grow rapidly from constant exposure to innovative ideas, concepts, and patterns.
