Job Description

Major Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and support reports, dashboards, ad-hoc reporting solutions, mobile reports, and analytical functions across the organization.
Engage with business users to gather, define and document reporting requirements. 
Thoroughly document requirements through functional specifications and technical design documents.
Develop advanced visualization and tabular reports.
Design and build effective dashboards aligned to business KPIs.
Create and maintain multi-dimensional and tabular data cubes.
Drive adoption and use of modern business intelligence tools including Qlik Sense and Power BI.
Support and enhance an ad-hoc reporting environment used by over 700 business users.
Design and develop test strategies for cube and reporting systems.
Develop and execute detailed unit and system test plans.
Design and implement the security models to support enterprise, department, column and row level security.
Responsible for creating and building complex reporting queries from various source databases.
Perform tuning activities for various cube and reporting applications. 
Responsible for providing, maintaining and updating cube and reporting solutions. Perform software testing and quality assurance.
Responsible for full software development lifecycle.
Perform in all phases of software design, development, documentation, and implementation.
Prepare documentation of problem analysis, and submit recommendations for solution improvements.
Prepare program specifications and diagrams, and develop coding logic flowcharts.
Test, debug, and install developed software programs and procedures in coordination with user departments and IT operations support.
Operational Support of applications inclusive of on call off hour support.

Require Skills/Knowledge

Thorough understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing concepts
Experience working with various reporting tools
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)
Ability to interact with users at all levels and areas of the organization.
Ability to facilitate requirements gathering workshops with multiple business and technical users.
Excellent organization and time management skills

Ability to design and build high quality, structured solutions from high-level, minimally defined requirements.
Solid understanding of delivering business intelligence solutions
Strong knowledge of SQL programming.
Proven ability to build and manage multi-dimensional OLAP cubes using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Proven ability to build reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Thorough understanding of business intelligence process

Experience building effective data visualizations and User Interfaces(UI)
Experience designing and building mobile reports.
Experience building and maintaining automated reporting processes.

Desired Skills/Knowledge

Experience with Cloud Data Warehouse solutions (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, etc)
Experience managing Tabular model cubes
Experience with Data Management tools
Knowledge or experience in AI and ML
Knowledge or experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Knowledge or experience in Big Data and Data Lake solutions
Experience working with Python and R technologies.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related discipline required
5+ years’ experience building business intelligence and data warehousing solutions
5+ years’ experience using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services and Reporting Services
Experience with Qlik Sense and Power BI desired
