Major Responsibilities
Design and develop new integrations using JAVA, API, JSON, OAGIs XML or other formats for complex projects, or with a large number of integration points.
Participates in large IT projects - contributing in planning and developing technical and architectural strategies
Provides Production technical support – investigating and resolving highly complex API/SI issues
Support external TP’s and internal users
Maintains API, IIB/EAI Environment – creating business processes and workflows
Subject matter expert - coaches and train business users and other IT teams on new processes
Defines all task in assigned project, estimating duration and defining dependencies and skills needed to complete task
Understands and demonstrates Essendant’s Core Values.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge Required
Extensive skills in the API Connect or IBM B2B Sterling Integration application as the primary tool
Knowledge and coding experience with business process modeling or JAVA programming
Strong overall IT skills with MS Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, Etc
Excellent Communication protocols like HTTPS, AS2, sFTP and API are required
Experience in building API connections with other toolsets a plus
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 10 years experience in an IT environment, 5 plus years preferred in API Connect or IBM B2B Sterling Integrator
Experience coding and implementing JAVA and JSON programs
Working successfully in a team environment
Experience with UNIX/Linix in the cloud is a plus
Previous experience developing in a distributed programming environment is a plus
