Job Description

What Your Impact Will Be: 

Define, evolve data products vision, strategy, and roadmap for Mattel’s business and operational decision making
Collaborate cross-functionally to guide AI/ML and Data products/features from conception to launch by connecting business and technical worlds
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address their content metadata needs, timelines and establish requirements for technology partners to implement
Engage and manage all stakeholder requirements, timelines and release schedules for data products
Maintain and groom product backlog to align with evolving Mattel’s transformation and  business priorities
Experiment, measure business performance of new data products and iterate quickly
Develop AI/ML platform and ML Ops capabilities roadmap to enable scale, expand scope and assimilate learning across commercial, manufacturing and digital domains
Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization

 

What We’re Looking For: 

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related discipline
10+ years of progressively experience leading engineering teams, in a hands-on fashion including data platforms and enterprise performance management
6+ years of experience in data analytics, engineering, data science and ML
Leader, with the ability to influence and oversee enterprise-wide projects to completion
Strategy experience — Experience in strategic technology planning and execution, and policy development and maintenance
Experience in data governance, oversight, cross-organizational alignment, and data quality assessment
Expert experience implementing complex, enterprise-wide data transformation, processing solutions and design direction for large scale systems
Demonstrated leadership; proven track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary talent teams in new endeavors and delivering solutions
Extensive knowledge and experience with big data/ Google Cloud Platform technologies
Experience in one or more of the latest and emerging technologies: Big Data systems and architecture, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Cloud technologies (GCP), security and privacy, experimentation,
Expertise in Java, Python, Confluent/Kafka,MySQL or NoSQL or similar
Superior collaboration and communication skills within and across teams and adopt SAFe practices along with DevOps
Excellent business and technical acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines at a senior level to influence and effect change to achieve common goals
Experience and knowledge of multiple functional areas across business and technology such as product management, Manufacturing, Commercial, Marketing, Customer Support, Finance
Ability to implement best practices, processes, and structures to amplify the outputs of the team
Need strong solid leadership and technical applications experience, excellent vendor management skills, plus a superior, service-oriented approach to managing business technologies
