POSITION SUMMARY
This role is within the Bakken Infrastructure Quality Assurance and Commissioning team, providing inspection, mechanical completion, commissioning, turnover, and interface management functions for Infrastructure projects. This role also requires cross functional work with all disciplines to execute projects and all scopes of work within the Upstream and Midstream business segments.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Mechanical Completion
Design and coordinate the implementation of the Mechanical Completion System and Mechanical Completion Database
Oversee system and subsystem boundary creation for project schedule and commissioning plan
Create document numbering system for implementation into project specific tracking system
Define all necessary inspection points per engineering design parameters in conjunction with the Hess QCP and project specific specification and standards
Prepare, review, and analyse Mechanical Completion Checklists
Contribute to necessary ITR (inspection test records) modifications to reduce redundant inspections and ensure correct inspection procedures
Ensure progress updating for contractor visibility and issuance of completion certification and punch list close out
Develop testing procedures, project specific leak test and dew point plans
Work to ensure vendor Quality Programs meet Hess requirements
Work with contractors on development and implementation of ITPs (Inspection Testing Plans) in accordance with Hess requirements
Coordinate / perform inspection at 3rd party fabrication facilities as required.
Turnover Coordination
Develop, maintain, and monitor all turnover systems for Well Factory, LPG and Infrastructure construction projects
Maintain and publish all turnover system definitions and schedules
Compile and manage all vendor drawings and document submittals
Creation and distribution of requirements for turnover documentation
Create and maintain tracking systems to ensure all vendor and contractor required documentation is received
Act as liaison with QA for document review and approval prior to submittal in EDMS
Ensure turnover follows Hess policies, procedures and standards as defined in construction contracts
Provide centralized location for locating all project specific documents to QA/Comm team (i.e., Scope of Work, Contracts, Specifications, IFC documents, revisions, RFI’s, Deviations, etc.)
Interface Management
Provide central contact point for coordination between project teams, construction teams, project management teams, operational readiness teams and operations teams
Review and contribute to project specific CoS for IPMP process and project utilization at necessary stages
Attend and contribute to all critical project meetings with project management teams
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
ASNT VPT/PT/RT Level l
AWS CWI
API 510 and API 570
Preferably have 10 years inspection and/or commissioning experience
Relevant commissioning experience with automation and control systems and electrical systems is ideal
Knowledge of industry standards, code and regulatory requirements
Skills/Attributes
Ability to identify defects in progress and providing timely technical solutions
Ability to interpret technical project deliverables
Ability to occasionally work a non-standard schedule (weekends, holidays, etc.) to meet off schedule project milestones
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), including the ability to develop technical reports and responses
Ability to manage budgets and 3rd party vendors
Ability to work effectively under stress and time pressures
