To be successful in this role you will:

Use research and fact finding combined with a basic understanding of e-commerce, business systems, regulatory, and industry requirements to pinpoint problems and resolve them.
Lead and/or participate in projects from initial design to testing and post-production stabilization, as part of a team of analysts or by providing project management, leadership and functional expertise.
Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
Devise, modify, and test procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results which is later testing with automated test scripts.
Conduct analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
Develop system specifications for modifications and enhancements to systems
Manage and develop scenarios for business needs and compliance with market rules and protocols.
Create test scenarios and test scripts for end-to-end testing of changes across multiple systems, for use in both manual and automated testing
Create and run the code of Sequel scripts to customize transaction variations needed as pre-requisites for automated test scripts.
Code and configure automated testing software to automate test scripts using programming pseudo code. 
Execute both manual and automated test scripts within different system environments as defined by the project phases:  system integrated testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing and hyper care. 
Lead and participate in environment shakeouts, smoke testing, performance testing, and data cleansing by using automated testing software and quality assurance reviews.
Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering business applications capabilities and limitations for desired results.   
Work closely with management, peers, Technology Operations, and other departments in a team environment.
Create, monitor and report project status as needed.
Lead teams in successful development of solution requirements, testing, implementation, and training all to the satisfaction of client constituencies and systems.
Knowledge of Transaction management, Texas SET EDI guidelines, and internal transaction processing.

Your background includes:

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.  In lieu of a degree, any combination of applicable college education and applicable experience equal to five years will be considered. 

Requires a minimum of four (4) years of work and business experience within the Texas Retail Energy Market or Utility industry and project management is required.  Acceptable experience includes roles in automated solution planning, developing, coding in sequel, scenario and requirement development, pseudo coding of an automated testing system, create sequel (SQL) coded scripts and testing in various environments

Ability to read and understand SQL, XML, and use Microsoft products:  word, Excel and excel-pilot tables, power point
