Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This position is responsible for the administration and support of complex, enterprise wide applications.  This includes being responsible for installation, proactive monitoring, performance tuning, support and vendor management.  This position will be focused on providing best practice level support for the organization and our customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Evaluate, install, administer, monitor, patch complex business applications
Strong troubleshooting skills, working well under pressure; and utilizing expertise from others when most efficient
Strong understanding of technical landscape for not only the application, but for the IPG environment. Ability to understand how the technology stack could be impacted by changes from the application or the IPG environment.
Ability to develop business requirement for a global, mission critical system; as well as explain complex problems in a clear concise manner
Implement routine monitoring and performance tuning and provide trending analysis
Implementation of best practices support procedures that promote Sarbanes Oxley compliance
Define, implement and support backup and recovery strategies
Define, implement and support DR strategies and landscapes
Ability to work independently
Ability to work multiple problems and projects
Coordinate with development teams

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Five years’ experience with complex web applications.
Five years’ experience with production support, troubleshooting and critical incident practices and escalation.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
Must possess excellent problem-solving skills.
Must possess excellent communication and business acumen for supported applications.
Must be a team player and have excellent support skills.

In addition, we provide limited centralized functional services that offer our companies operational efficiencies, including accounting and finance, executive compensation management and recruitment assistance, employee benefits, marketing information retrieval and analysis, internal audit, legal services, real estate expertise and travel services.
