Our Impact:

Governance & Business Services (GBS) is responsible for identifying and measuring operational risks, analyzing and reporting on risks, establishing governance over operational risks for the Multifamily division, and collaborating with the Three Lines of Defense and senior management across the company.

Enhance implemented People Risk Reporting for the division and departments level
Facilitate review and change management for Divisional Delegation Authority (DDA) , working with Legal and MF Executives, to ensure compliance with internal policies
Maintain and enhance policy governance lifecycle process to ensure the division is in compliance with corporate policies and regulation requirements
Engage with various stakeholders in a working group on improving the efficiency of the enterprise policy change management process
Maintain and enhance established DRO (Division Risk Officer) Delegation Matrix as a centralized repository of delegated authorities as outlined in the respective policies and standards
Prepare monthly reporting to Divisional Risk Officer and Upper management detailing team performance, project completion status and performance indicators
Enhance reporting design and execution on performance, success metrics and resource/capacity management
Project / change management of new business initiatives, new policies and standards adoption, gap assessments and requests received from external stakeholders
Supervise and train junior staff on current business processes

Support in design and implementation of innovative ideas for GBS
Undertake ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

College degree
Minimum of 4-6 years related experience
Understanding of Freddie Mac’s Multifamily business and its overall business processes, controls and operational risk exposure (e.g., MF loan products, technology used), applicable laws and regulations, and industry frameworks
Knowledge of operational risk management practices in Multifamily, Freddie Mac and industry
Fundamental understanding of regulatory requirements, industry frameworks and expectations related to operational risk management (e.g., FHFA, prudential standards, Basel, Sarbanes-Oxley) and Freddie Mac’s unique position as a GSE
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Proven track record of managing and setting competing departmental priorities
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional – PMP, etc.)
