Job Description

The Technical Service Specialist position is a critical role within the Surgical RD&E team.  This team member will create, revise and review labeling, IFUs, Inserts and external artwork to meet required regulations and comply with internal regulatory and quality systems. He or she is responsible for the label record data management within the Software System and will support manufacturing in resolving labeling issues.

This position requires a detail-orientated individual with practical problem-solving and communication skills (verbal and written) to support varying projects, that impact branded and external OEM medical device products.  This individual will be required to interact closely with RD&E team members and cross-functional partners in Marketing, Regulatory, and Quality.

What you will do

Create, revise, and maintain product labeling including but not limited to Packaging Labels, Instructions for Use, and External Purchased or Supplier-Printed Labeling using Labeling System, Bartender, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign.
Managing label record data in the labeling system.

Manage attachments and links within the System
Manage workflow submissions within the System

Problem-solving and developing solutions for labeling and printing issues.
Manage translations with the translation supplier(s) and coordinate load to system.
Support artwork, symbol and component development and coordinate load to system.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support label requirements and standardization with internal and external cross-functional teams.
Follow all Ecolab’s SOPs and WI. 
Function within all quality systems and regulations, particularly related to medical devices

Basic Qualifications

Associate Degree
2+ years of R&D experience
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience working with labeling software specific programs; preferably, Illustrator, Bartender, Photoshop, Adobe Pro, InDesign
Experience working within a regulated environment, preferably Medical Device, Aerospace, Automotive
