Job Description

Are you our next Structural Engineer-I, II, III ?  

Working with the Sr. Engineer and site operations teams, the engineer will support the structural asset health program through inspection, evaluation, and design.  The engineer will provide field support to construction and maintenance teams to promote effective and efficient execution of repairs and modifications to structures in the minerals and concentrate plants.

What will you do?  

On site structural inspection, analysis, design of solutions to support site maintenance 
Inspection report reviews, prepare drawings & technical documents 
Structural database management 
Utilize knowledge of structural analysis and design, concrete & steel failure modes, construction codes  
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to complete assigned tasks and progress department goals under a moderate level of supervision
Able to work with diverse team in an industrial setting 
Provide plant process engineering support to operations group including plant optimization, troubleshooting, efficiency improvement, problem solving, and problem prevention
Leverage ideas and assistance including resources across plant sites 
Support current business initiatives. Typical initiatives include specific problem-solving projects or improvement activities involving multiple sites 
Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers 

What do you need for this role? 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering 

Engineer I 

0-2 years of engineering, structural design, or repair experience

Engineer II 

2+ years of engineering, structural design, or repair experience  

Engineer III 

5+ years of engineering, structural design, or repair experience  

Required for ALL Levels:  

Proficiency in MS Office products, engineering software  
Excellent written and communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management
Must demonstrate ability to influence others; requires leadership qualities, and team building
Providing coordination between design, procurement, and/or construction for integration of technical content and schedule activities

Preferred for ALL Levels:  

SAP/Maximo application experience 
Industrial chemical plant or mining facility project management experience 
PE, PMI certification
