Job Description

Responsible for organizing, coordinating & defining all activities that deal with personnel, customer relations, cashiering equipment & all administrative duties associated with the daily operation of assigned shift or section.

Supervises & schedules casino cashiering personnel to insure efficient operations in providing excellent customer relations 

Works diligently to support the S.H.O.W. Service Basic Standards culture and team philosophy throughout the property 

Creates a memorable guest & employee experience by effectively aligning the people, product and processes to deliver on the promises made to our internal & external guests.  Maintains the utmost in integrity & the highest caliber of customer service.  Develops enduring professional relationships with guests, promotes positive public relations, & presents one’s self as a credit to the Borgata organization 

Ensures that all activities reflect the policies, philosophies & regulations of the Company/property/ department as well as compliance with all DGE regulations 

Adhere to all Federal and State regulatory compliance guidelines relating to gaming and licensee requirements 

Adheres to all Title 31 Currency Transaction Reporting & Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements 

Supervises cashiers, bankers, and technicians to ensure compliance with existing policies & procedures, with an emphasis on customer service 

Technical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, issuance of checks, hand pay jackpots, verifying jackpot transactions, and preparing appropriate documentation for slot, simulcasting, table, and cash transactions in accordance with state and federal guidelines 

Circulates assigned area and observes staff performing normal job duties, offering positive and corrective feedback as needed.  Monitors employees in order to assess training needs 

Oversees and makes recommendations to the scheduling of personnel 

Oversees the issuance of work tools & keys to gaming assets, maintains the integrity of all cashiering activities 

Responsible for Casino Cashiering on shift basis, (main cage and slot cages) in the absence of the Casino Cashiering Shift Manager 

Responsible for ensuring all cashiering kiosk machines are operating within internal controls, company policies and procedures 

Assist in drop, replacement and maintenance of the Kiosk on a daily basis 

Ability to operate calculators, currency counters, and strap counters 

Ability to work under sometimes stressful situations with customers and large sums of money 

Ability to work holidays, weekends, all shifts and unusual hours 

Job Requirements 

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.  Must have valid N.J. key gaming license or the qualifications to obtain a License 

Two years of cashiering experience required with a minimum of one year supervisory experience in a licensed NJ casino 

Must possess excellent oral and written skills 

Ability to logically and independently plan, organize and complete assigned task 

Must have well developed inter-personal skills, show initiative and the ability to set and achieve high standards of performance 

Excellent analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills 

Ability to direct a work force, provide support to staff and delegate job duties 

Excellent analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills 

Proficiency with MS Office especially MS Excel and Word
