YOUR ROLE
As a key member of the US Life Experience team, you will help assess risk, recommend assumptions, and monitor experience. You will have an excellent opportunity to join a highly motivated team responsible for providing analytical insights and experience studies to the organization. Your expertise will be essential to provide direction on complex problems and delivering advanced analytics. This role will be collaborative with actuarial, finance, reinsurance, risk, IT, leadership and others.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to the development of Inforce reviews and support assumption setting and monitoring projects
Develop tools to assist in explaining Life Inforce financials and drivers of profitability
Communicating results of recommendations and reviews to non-technical audiences
Continually improve advanced analytical tools and predictive models to be used in understanding and monitoring experience
Analyze experience for trends, anomalies, and assessing risk
Collaborate with other departments, creating consistent messaging and improving reconciliations
Support ad hoc requests for actuarial assistance
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related major
Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA)
7+ years of relevant work experience within actuarial industry
Knowledge of GAAP, Statutory and Tax financial reporting requirements for term and universal life insurance
Strong communication and presentation skills, and collaborating with non-technical audiences
Ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities in an organized manner
3+ years of relevant experience in a programming language such as Python, SAS, R
Ability to create and maintain predictive models to help explain results
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with big data and working with actuarial modelling software such as AXIS, MG-ALFA, Polysystems
Experience with version control tools and DevOps protocols
Proficiency in data management and data governance best practices
