Description:
Senior individual contributor with experience designing and maintaining retail point of sale systems and support functions or similar. Process improvement and streamlining of support functions to ensure retail locations remain operational. Working independently, autonomy and decision making will be necessary but may require leader’s advanced approval.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the planning and development of client systems technologies / services.
Continuously improves processes and works with internal and external business partners to streamline deployments and service requests
Conduct technical deep dives to preform root cause analysis on major incidents
Lead projects consisting of hardware and software deployments to multiple locations
Ensures adherence to software deployment procedures and processes
Subject Matter Expert in Windows operating systems with a deep knowledge of Powershell, registry, automation and patching
Consult and provide recommendations to management, based on cases elevated from service desk members and other engineers
Administration and support of Windows point of sale devices and accompanying hardware and software
Experience with hardware/software asset management
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or equivalent and 4+ years experience in a senior engineering role; May substitute education requirements with 6+ years of relevant work experience in a production Windows environment as a Systems Engineer/Admin
6+ years experience with scripting languages like Powershell and python for use in automation
4+ years with remote configuration management software such as BigFix/PDQ Deploy/SCCM
4+ years experience managing and maintaining an MDM/UEM environment consisting of Windows/iOS/Android Devices (VMware Workspace One UEM or Microsoft Intune Preferred)
4+ years designing/building/maintaining a windows imaging solution such as MDT/Windows Autopilot
2+ years virtualization experience with VMware (ESXi 6.5 and later)
2+ years experience with monitoring tools such as ELK or New Relic
2+ years experience with reporting tools such as PowerBI
Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with internet protocols, network firewalls, routing, switching, and VPN
Mentoring of Service Desk/Analysts/Jr Engineers
Experience running projects from planning through production deployment
Must be available to work after hours and weekends as needed.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Preferred Skills
1+ years experience in c#/.Net
1+ years experience in SQL or NoSQL database design/maintenance/implementation
1+ years experience in Serverless technologies such as Azure Functions, AWS Lambda
Experience with threat and vulnerability management and remediation
