About the role
As an Investment Analyst at AIG Retirement Services, you will be the “go-to” resource for help and support for our Investment Solutions team. You will fulfill key deliverables related to our Annuity and Group Mutual Fund Platforms, and partner with our internal clients (Relationship Management, Consultant Relations, Business Development, Field Management, Operations/Implementation, Product Solutions, RFP/Bid Unit) to provide:
Investment data supporting the pricing process for Plan Sponsors on the group mutual fund platform.
Investment information as input to fund selection and fund mapping requests for Plan Sponsor Investment Menus.
Investment data supporting RFIs/RFPs.
Fund performance reporting for Plan Sponsors.
Data updates and maintenance of information on the group mutual fund platform master fund list.
Investment information to support group mutual fund pricing/repricing requests
The Investment Analyst is also expected to:
Work collaboratively with Operations/Implementation providing required investment expense and fund reimbursement information to support plan sponsor fund exchange requests.
Support custom target date/risk based models implementations and updates.
Maintain investment related marketing pieces on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Provide custom fund performance reports for strategic plan sponsors, adhering to agreed- upon SLAs.
Support the onboarding of new investment providers to the group mutual fund platform.
Be detail oriented, self-motivated, with a positive outlook and a clear focus on providing good customer service.
Be flexible, and adaptive while working in a dynamic business environment.
What we are looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred; or 4+ years of direct experience required.
Basic knowledge of mutual funds including investment performance measurements and metrics, benchmarks, and expenses highly preferred.
Proficiency in Morningstar Direct highly preferred.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel required.
FINRA Series 6 or 7 license; or willingness to obtain within first 12 months of employment required.
Solid communication skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
Problem-solving ability with solutions-oriented attitude.
Ability to handle increasingly high volume of work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Flexibility to work additional hours as necessary to meet business and client needs.
