Position Summary:

AIG is seeking a highly motivated individual to develop and manage sales opportunities at the dealer, distributor, and OEM levels within the HVAC industry.  Key responsibilities will be developing new accounts, ensuring repeat business from existing customers, attending regional and national dealer conferences, and making a positive impact within our division. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Building the business within the territory using a variety of sales techniques

Targeting potential customers and assessing opportunities for sales

Arranging meetings with potential customers

Cold calling companies within the territory and establishing needs

Prioritizing prospects within the territory

Analyzing competitor activities in the region and assessing opportunities for developing new business

Networking with businesses in the territory and building relationships

Attending relevant industry events and conferences to build business

Executing on sales leads from other members of the company and team

Working closely with other territory sales manager’s and national account managers

Putting together sales strategies to target large accounts

Keeping up to date with industry news to identify opportunities for new business

What we are looking for:

Must be a self-starter and able to manage competing priorities and schedules

Excellent communication skills; must be comfortable working at all levels of and organization

Able to develop a robust network within the industry

Previous experience in conducting presentations from groups of 30 to groups of over 250 at industry events and conferences

Relevant experience within HVAC, or trade industry is highly preferred

Must have previous sales experience with demonstrated success building and territory and meeting aggressive sales targets

Manage leads from varying sources within CRM and appropriately recording all activity

Interacting and coordinating  with OEM and Distributor sales team – with both on-sight and virtual visits

Not afraid to cold call when needed

Technologically sound; able to coordinate and set up virtual meetings

Must be able to travel coordinate and travel about 50% regionally post Covid 19 restrictions
