Recovery Boiler and Evaporator – Covington, VA
RecoveryBoiler and Evaporator Supervisor
The opportunity:
?Direct responsibility of both Recovery boilers and five Evaporators
?Review shift leader notes and PI trends and prepare a plan for the day/night to be shared at daily meetings
?Track downtime of equipment on logs used to justify future projects/opportunities and give monthly report
?Monitor KPIs, environmental parameters and investigate root cause for significant events
?Maintain all log sheets from operators for reference
?Preform weekly housekeeping audits and provide feedback to shift leads to execute
?Work with Recovery Validator to plan scheduled maintenance, outages, and priorities
?Coordinate all Recovery Boiler Audit activities
How you willimpact WestRock:
Minimize equipment downtown that would result in impacts pulp production
Update SOPs and update/create new training as needed
Work with Superintendent to create a 5-year capital plan for area
Assist in the development of maintenance budget
Focus on continuous improvement to reduce energy consumption and provide innovative ideas
Provide Co-Ops/Interns with Projects to encourage professional growth
What you need to succeed:
Bachelors in Engineering and/or a Pulp and Paper Degree; chemical engineering preferred.  Non-Degreed applicants with experience on Recovery Boilers will be considered.
2-5 years paper mill experience preferred
Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to direct continuous improvement efforts in the department in all areas, but with special emphasis on safety, quality, environment, production, and cost.
Black Belt or Green Belt certification preferred.  Will be expected to pursue certification if not already certified.
