Job Summary:

As a domain expert in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), the Sr. PLM System Administrator will serve a pivotal role in the management of our product lifecycle from concept through aftermarket support across multiple sites and domains. As part of a larger team, this position will coordinate with all functional organizations within the company to ensure our PLM System implementation supports the business needs and dynamically interfaces with our (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).  This position hinges on building effective relationships to improve existing procedures and drive innovative change through industry best practices. 

 Position Requirements:

Ability to Translate business requirements into specific PLM solutions
Extensive experience with product data management (PDM) information system infrastructure
Ability to evaluate PLM System functionality, identify gaps in application and business processes, and turn into actionable improvement initiatives
Must have extensive experience managing and administering TeamCenter
Requires excellent problem solving, oral and written communication skills.
Experience in Active Workspace and TeamCenter infrastructure

Effective presenter with demonstrated experience pulling together concepts and solutions in a succinct and clear manner

Ability to Investigate and troubleshoot Teamcenter data to continuously improve the application.
Must be proficient in configuration and change management methods TC and/or NX code development (C, C++, JAVA. ITK and SOA) experience is preferred.
BMIDE experience is a plus
Experience with model based engineering (MBE) is a plus.
Experience with NX and Solidworks, Capital, Oracle and/or Solumina is a plus.

 

Responsibilities Include:

Tool administration

Test version updates prior to IT implementation
Develop/improve and maintain tool customizations including workflows, rich client style sheets, and data model
Create and manage accounts and user access
Create user groups
Setup Projects
Configure Structure Manager including creating Revision Rules and Variant Rules
Perform User Acceptance Testing prior to IT rollouts

 

User Support

Help users with installation & setup issues
Develop, Coordinate, and Conduct standardized tool training across all company sites
Act as first point of contact for problem resolution for Multisite user issues.
Support various user issues like TC client setup, connection issues, data and process lock issues, TC-NX integration issues, import/export issues.

 

PLM Integration and Maintenance Support:

Support maintenance and improvement of current PLM system (Matrix) integration with Hardware Engineering tools
Support implementation of future PLM system (Teamcenter) integration with Hardware Engineering tools
Function as PLM architect with focus on Teamcenter Aerospace & Defense.
Translate business requirements into specific PLM solutions
Develop/document AS IS and TO BE Solution Specification for team members to work from.
Work with support team to Investigate and troubleshoot Teamcenter data to continuously improve the application.
Provide Technical guidance and mentor support team members in advanced PLM functionalities.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
8+ years of demonstrated experience using a PLM system and PLM integration with CAD, ERP, and MES systems.
5+ years of direct experience with Teamcenter with strong admin and user support skillset.
Experience in Access Manager, Workflows, Organization, TC Visualization, Classification and NX Manager.
Experience with programming languages: C, C++, JAVA, Perl and XML a plus.
