Requisition Summary

Peterbilt is currently seeking a Training Manager to join our Human Resources Team to support the plant and division locations.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

•    Conduct Needs Assessment while working with employees and managers to design, prepare, coordinate, and implement technical training or other actions to fill competency gaps as required by management, production needs, and analysis
•    Manage Peterbilt strategic training plan including designing new interventions, tailored sessions including facilitating problem-solving and completing corporate and legal compliance training
•    Provide leadership to development programs such as Emerging Leaders Roundtable South, Peterbilt Protégés and Peterbilt Leadership Experience 
•    Provide organizational and employee development support to managers and employees
•    Determine performance and problem-solving training requirements
•    Design training and leadership development courses
•    Facilitate technical and non-technical training courses
•    Facilitate virtual training sessions
•    Work with outside suppliers to provide relevant training
•    Conduct group facilitation and teach others to facilitate
•    Provide individual Coaching and Training
•    Develop and deliver integrated training solutions utilizing podcasts, webinars, video and social media.
•    Work on special projects and other HR duties as needed
•    Work with managers in developing measurements to evaluate the effectiveness of the actions taken.
•    Maintain appropriate technical production training records of education, training skills and experience. Provide and deliver reports as needed.
•    Incorporate audio-visual technology, web-based computer technology, and client-server technology in the delivery of training.
•    Develop new and innovative technical training presentation tools and formats as necessary.
•    Coordinate or assist with special marketing events

Skills / Competencies

Education 
Bachelor’s degree in related field required.  MBA, PHR, SPHR preferred.
Degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Radio TV Film Communications or Business Administration preferred

Skills

•    Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, enthusiasm and team orientation
•    Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite
•    Strong business and executive coaching skills
•    Extensive Video-Editing and Digital Photography knowledge required
•    Web-Based programming, e.g., Front Page, and/or computer-based training dedicated software experience
•    Experience setting up and operating audio/visual equipment required, i.e., videotaping, graphics, speaker systems etc…
•    Previous group facilitation/classroom and virtual instruction experience required
•    Four to six years training experience in a manufacturing environment
•    Three to five years experience utilizing audio-visual and web-based technology in the delivery of e-learning system
