As a Production Planning Team Leader you will coordinate production planning and management activities within the organization and develops production plan and timelines according to production specifications. Settles production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications and follows the 100% system driven principles and ensures effectiveness by applying the Production Planning FP&R standards.
What will you do?
Lead the Production Planning standard and functions as a resource for scheduling, and planning to develop plans and timelines according to production specifications. Develops plans based on the plant capacity and develops strategies to leverage capacity constraints and opportunities.
Coordinates releases and packing issues by working with Corporate Purchasing on packaging shortages, and providing direction for the packing release process. Liaisons between the plant and outside environment in coordinating direct shipments; works details with other plants in the transfer of product and packaging, and in transferring volume; and assists in the coordination of promotions affecting the facility.
Develops long term and short term plans for plant volume based on current forecasts weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
Functions as the plant contact for internal and external customers and communicates effectively with the operations team to ensure production schedules meet the planned strategies.
Accountable for meeting or exceeding safety standards according to the published Hill’s Safety Policy at the Richmond plant.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or technical related field.
Previous experience leading Operations teams.
At least 2 years of work experience with development of asset utilization models or capacity utilization models.
