Provide enterprise level support of Web technologies needed for infrastructure and business applications. These technologies include, but are not limited to WebSphere, WebLogic and Kubernetes. Design, deliver, and support middleware environments for business applications. Develop and maintain routine work procedures and define standard installation and upgrade methodologies. Responsibilities may include evaluation, acquisition, installation, integration testing, upgrading components and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities
• Develop and revise installations and configurations of Oracle WebLogic Server, including domain creation, setup instances like managed servers, clusters, machines, data sources, and deployment of applications.
• Develop and revise installations and configurations of WebSphere Application Server, including creation, setup and configuration of clusters, servers, JVM parameters, and data sources and deployment of applications.
• Work with other IT teams on setup and configuration of WebLogic, WebSphere, and Kubernetes environments, including server, network, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Configuration and delivery of WebLogic and WebSphere applications, including on-boarding, maintenance, and problem determination
• Collaboration with other IT teams for patch installation, including maintenance and creation of installation and patch repositories
• Develop scripted WebLogic server builds and automation of WebLogic Application Deployments using WLST, Python, BASH, and other scripting languages.
• Build and maintain the configuration management of WebLogic and WebSphere via Puppet
• Extensive problem solving, troubleshooting for JAVA applications on IBM WebSphere Application Server and Oracle WebLogic Server across various platforms: Windows Server, AIX, and Linux
• Perform Kubernetes and container troubleshooting & problem determination
• Configuration and maintenance of Kubernetes load balancing via NetScaler, HA Proxy and CSX
• Own and manage certificate replacements
• Provide WebLogic, WebSphere, and Kubernetes support during application upgrades
• Perform upgrades to the WebLogic, WebSphere and Kubernetes shared and dedicated environments
• Participation in a 24X7 on-call rotation
• Requires night and weekend work
Required Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science
• In addition to required degree, 2 years related work experience
• In lieu of Bachelors degree(s) AND 2 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 6 year(s) related work experience
