Phillips 66 is currently accepting applications for a Director, Fuel Cell Sales, Marketing, and Support position within the Commercialization organization at the Phillips 66 Headquarters in Houston, TX. The selected candidate will form and lead the sales, marketing, and support strategy for fuel cell systems. The selected candidate will be an integral member of a newly forming fuel cell leadership team. This is an opportunity to join a corporate start-up at inception, demonstrate entrepreneurial leadership, and build more experience in the dynamic and exciting energy transition market segment.

Responsibilities May Include

Executing all work with a paramount focus on safety.

Envisioning and managing the sales, marketing, and support strategy across different customer segments and channel relationships.

Building a new inside- and outside sales team, deal desk, marketing strategy, and support organization.

Establishing a sales organization including territories, quotas, and configuring Salesforce.

Building sales enablement and a customer journey.

Working closely with the product management and engineering team to evolve fuel cell system designs in support of different priorities such as safety, manufacturability, maintainability, and forward/reverse logistics.

Evaluating existing Phillips 66 marketing, sales, and support capabilities (e.g., organizations, assets, resources) to determine their applicability to the fuel cell sales, marketing, and support strategy.

Leveraging new insights from market demonstrations.

Collaborating and communicating effectively, including presenting data in written and oral form, with internal and external stakeholders.

Working with a new leadership team to define, model, and implement a safe, high performance organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Sales, Business, Training, Communications, or a closely related discipline

Proactive approach to safety with a good working safety record

15 or more years of work experience in customer-facing sales organizations

Experience with setting-up, leading, and optimizing sales organizations including lead development, marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and sales management

Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement experience (e.g., manager of managers)

Willing and able to travel 50% and comply with local vaccination norms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience building an integrated customer journey from marketing to sales to customer support

Experience with engineering-related or original equipment manufacturing (OEM) sales (e.g., mechanical, industrial, energy, chemical, power generation, corrosion protection)

Experience with Fuel Cells, Electrolyzers, or other electro-chemical energy systems

Experience building wholesale, distribution, and partner channel sales programs

Highly motivated self-starter looking to build a new industry and grow into managing a global organization

Phillips 66 operates as an energy manufacturing and logistics company. It operates through four segments: Midstream, Chemicals, Refining, and Marketing and Specialties (M&S). The Midstream segment transports crude oil and other feedstocks; delivers refined products to market; provides terminaling and storage services for crude oil and petroleum products; transports, stores, fractionates, exports, and markets natural gas liquids; provides other fee-based processing services; and gathers, processes, transports, and markets natural gas.

The Chemicals segment manufactures and markets ethylene and other olefin products; aromatics and styrenics products, such as benzene, cyclohexane, styrene, and polystyrene; and various specialty chemical products, including organosulfur chemicals, solvents, catalysts, and chemicals used in drilling and mining. The Refining segment refines crude oil and other feedstocks into petroleum products comprising gasolines, distillates, and aviation fuels at 13 refineries primarily in the United States and Europe.

The M&S segment purchases for resale and markets refined petroleum products consisting of gasolines, distillates, and aviation fuels primarily in the United States and Europe. It also manufactures and sells specialty products, such as petroleum coke products, waxes, solvents, and polypropylene. In addition, this segment generates electricity and provides merchant power into the Texas market. Phillips 66 was founded in 1875 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
