Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is building the next generation IaaS cloud service along with providing a world class cloud support experience. We are building a team of energetic, customer-focused service support administrators, blending Windows system admin, Linux Sys Admin, incident command, and NOC engineering disciplines. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Support Administrator who will provide Microsoft & Linux administration, and problem management support for local area network (LAN) systems, workstations, and peripheral devices, including the current systems configurations and future systems architecture worldwide. As a Systems Administrator, you will provide capacity increases, virtualization and storage support, availability management, service continuity, and on-going security management activities. This role is integral to the success of our customer relationships and is critical to the success of the platform.

This role will support Oracle’s Government customers.

Job Responsibilities

Operates and performs maintenance to services running within the region through the use of Runbooks.

Sets up and administers service/user accounts using: Active Directory, User Group maintenance, Security and Configuration Management, User data restoration, Sever data restoration.
A working knowledge of SCCM and or Linux Fog is expected and the candidate will be involved in large scale software, security patches and OS upgrade distributions.
As the IT Support Administrator, you will help ensure that all existing networks, infrastructure, and systems for the OCI internal network are secure and functioning at all times.
Ensures timely resolution and documentation of incidents.
Ensures thorough documentation of incidents through company-standard reporting methods.
Monitors for faults, alarms, and other errors.
Performing Microsoft Windows Server configuration management for a worldwide enterprise of significant scope.

Providing staff and users with assistance solving technical issues, malfunctions, and platform problems.
Testing, maintaining, and monitoring systems, including coordinating the installation and deployments.
You’ll ensure the current infrastructure is an operation, functional, and has limited down time for maintenance and patching.

You will be involved in the use of open-source products that facilitate infrastructure management.

Requirements

Ability to maintain a US government Top Secret SCI w/ Polygraph security clearance .

Bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience in systems or network administration.
Experience with Linux.
Experience with Microsoft Server
Experience with Cisco Networking
Experience with virtual networking
Experience with virtualization platforms
Experience with deployment services such as SCCM and Linux Fog
Strong Scripting experience
Experience creating and deploying group policy
Customer obsession, passion for delighting customers.
Experience in cloud technical support, operations, NOC or similar is preferred, but not required.
Experience working with government customers is preferred, but not required.
Proven ability to quickly learn new technical domains.
Great verbal and written communication skills.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all production server and desktop hardware and software. Provide technical support for complex technical issues. Responsible for Oracle internal environments; assist with server and desktop operating systems and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching; and work on standardization projects for both hardware and software. While providing consistent system uptime as expected in a Cloud environment.

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. Solid experience in Technical Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment; supporting and troubleshooting applications, software, and operating systems; and administering and troubleshooting. Knowledge of enterprise platforms. Desire to keep up with modern technology and make recommendations. Knowledge of network architecture and protocols. Experience with enterprise administrative scripting using a major scripting language and experience. Travel may be required in accordance with business needs.
